If you are looking for compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care, Christopher Bedford at LifeStance Health helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Pennsylvania navigate mental health challenges with a personalized and practical treatment approach. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner and prescriber, he partners with patients to better understand their symptoms, improve daily functioning, and work toward meaningful, lasting wellness. He provides medication management and support for a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, and many other mental health conditions. Christopher is especially passionate about helping individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. He understands that the transition from inpatient care back to everyday life can be overwhelming and often requires careful monitoring, medication evaluation, and ongoing support. His goal is to help patients maintain stability, reduce the risk of relapse, and build confidence as they continue their recovery journey. He works collaboratively with each patient to create a treatment plan that supports both immediate needs and long-term success. In addition to treating mood and attention-related disorders, Christopher has experience supporting individuals facing alcohol and drug use issues, bipolar disorder, and trauma-related concerns, among other conditions. He incorporates interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Christian counseling when appropriate. He also has experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, military veterans, and first responders, while offering care to a diverse range of patients. Christopher earned his education through Eastern Kentucky University, Western Governors University, and Sewickley Valley School of Nursing. Since beginning his clinical practice in 2023, he has remained committed to delivering thoughtful, patient-centered psychiatric care grounded in respect, collaboration, and clinical excellence. Outside of work, Christopher enjoys powerlifting, playing jazz and rock music on the bass guitar, and spending time kayaking. These activities help him maintain balance and reinforce the importance of physical and emotional well-being.
