About Hunter Young (He/Him)
Hunter Young, PsyD, Post-Doctoral Fellow, helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults develop practical skills to overcome emotional and behavioral challenges, improve daily functioning, and build lasting resilience. At LifeStance Health, he provides therapy and testing services for patients throughout Delaware, supporting individuals who are seeking evidence-based care for concerns such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, and related mental health difficulties. He strives to create a welcoming, collaborative environment where clients feel understood while working toward meaningful personal goals. Hunter has a particular interest in helping individuals manage ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He understands how these concerns can affect school performance, work productivity, relationships, self-esteem, and overall quality of life. Using a personalized approach, he works closely with clients to identify patterns that may be contributing to distress and helps them develop practical strategies for long-term success. His treatment style balances compassion with clinical expertise, empowering clients to make sustainable changes both inside and outside of therapy. In addition to his broad mental health experience, Hunter is especially passionate about addressing sleep disorders and insomnia. Poor sleep can have a significant impact on emotional well-being, concentration, mood, and physical health. He incorporates CBT for Insomnia, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients improve sleep quality and establish healthier routines. He also utilizes exposure therapy when appropriate and provides psychological testing as part of his comprehensive services. He remains committed to providing thoughtful, research-informed care that meets each client’s unique needs and circumstances. Outside of his professional work, Hunter enjoys reading, hiking, sailing, visiting the beach, playing video games, and staying engaged with current events.
