Abigail Owen, Ph.D., is passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate life’s emotional and behavioral challenges. She provides a warm, compassionate space for clients to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences while learning skills to cope, grow, and thrive. Practicing at LifeStance Health in Rhode Island, Abigail supports individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma, and school-related stress through evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each person’s unique needs. With experience working with youth across a range of developmental stages, Abigail specializes in supporting clients who are struggling with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), childhood behavior issues, and school avoidance. She recognizes the impact these concerns can have not just on a child’s academic performance but on their relationships and self-esteem. Abigail works collaboratively with clients and their families to help identify goals and create manageable, supportive plans for growth. Abigail is particularly passionate about working with individuals on the autism spectrum, those with developmental disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. She is deeply committed to creating an affirming, inclusive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel safe and empowered to be themselves. Her work is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and she also incorporates parenting support and family involvement when appropriate. She offers psychological testing to provide diagnostic clarity and support more targeted treatment planning. Outside of her clinical work, Abigail enjoys reading, relaxing at the beach, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Abigail Owen provides services with supervision.
