Ankit Patel, MD,
About Ankit Patel (He/Him)
Ankit Patel helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults build greater stability and well-being through thoughtful, evidence-based psychiatric care. As a prescriber with LifeStance Health, he serves patients throughout Florida, providing individualized treatment plans that address each person’s unique goals, symptoms, and life circumstances. He works with individuals experiencing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also offering support for a range of other mental health concerns. A key focus of Ankit’s practice is helping people navigate mood, attention, and emotional regulation challenges that can affect relationships, work, school, and overall quality of life. He combines medication management with a collaborative approach to care, ensuring patients feel heard, informed, and actively involved in treatment decisions. His experience includes working with individuals facing bipolar disorder, trauma-related concerns, and substance use challenges, as well as additional psychiatric conditions. Ankit is especially passionate about helping patients manage ADHD, anxiety, and depression. He understands how these conditions can impact daily functioning and strives to provide practical, personalized strategies that support lasting progress. His treatment approach may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based techniques, and CBT for insomnia when appropriate, helping patients develop healthier coping skills and improve emotional resilience. In addition to outpatient psychiatric care, Ankit provides medication management for substance use concerns and works with individuals experiencing complex mental health conditions, including sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia. He believes effective treatment begins with understanding the whole person, not just a diagnosis, and creating a supportive environment where meaningful change can occur. Ankit earned his medical training through ECFMG certification and brings a multicultural perspective to patient care. He is also able to support patients who prefer to communicate in Gujarati or Hindi. Outside of work, Ankit enjoys traveling, exploring new cuisines, and watching cinema. These interests help him maintain balance and bring curiosity and openness to his interactions with patients. Whether seeking support for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, substance use concerns, or other mental health challenges, patients across Florida can find compassionate and comprehensive psychiatric care with Ankit Patel at LifeStance Health.
