Her family-centered approach emphasizes understanding the unique strengths and needs of each child, creating a supportive foundation for lasting growth and success. Dr. Herrera incorporates evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and parenting skills training. She also serves members of the LGBTQ+ community and strives to provide an affirming, inclusive environment where patients feel respected, heard, and supported throughout their care journey. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University and her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. Since beginning her practice in 2021, Dr. Herrera has remained committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality mental health care.
