I have been a patient of Dr. Meland’s since 2007. He is very knowledgeable, responds quickly to questions and requests, listens to my concerns, and is very supportive. He works with his patients rather than simply making decisions based on a one size fits all approach. I completely trust him with my mental health care and highly recommend him to anyone who is trying to navigate their own mental health needs.

Once you get past the unnecessarily and frustratingly convoluted phone system, this is a very helpful place -- and Dr. Meland is every bit as compassionate as these other reviews state. Also knowledgeable and, when appropriate, humorous -- I am grateful to have a therapist who suits my temperament so well. Highly recommend.

The Belle Chase location is top notch—easy to get to with plenty of parking. The receptionist was very friendly, and I couldn’t have asked for a better first appointment with Dr. Roy Meland. I truly felt heard and understood, and I’m hopeful my insurance will allow me to continue treatment with him.

Very nice conversation with the Psychiatrist as an intake. I had a comfortable knowledge of the treatment process and he added some clarification. I was not able to remember my prescription history for mental health meds so he listed them to help jog my memory, which was generous.
