Dr. Gabriel A. Rivera-Delgado is a Psychiatrist in New York who has been practicing since 2024. He graduated from University of Florida, University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, and University of Virginia Department of Psychiatry & Neurobehavioral Sciences. Although medications are a powerful tool in the fight against mental illness, they should never be viewed as the only solution; therefore, Dr. Rivera-Delgado always strives to keep that in mind and view the patient in their entirety and in the context in which they exist. In that way, he maintains a holistic view of the patient and sees them as more than just their pathology, but rather, the unique individual that they are. His goal in treating any patient is to achieve full remission of their symptoms. Although that may not always be possible with every case, Dr. Rivera-Delgado is never satisfied with simply improving symptoms. To that end, he uses as many pieces of data as possible, especially screening assessments, to guide his thinking. Dr. Rivera-Delgado has extensive experience treating a variety of mental health conditions and is confident that he can help you address whatever mental health concerns you may have. Outside of work, Dr. Rivera-Delgado is passionate about traveling and spends as much time as possible exploring the world. In his down time, he enjoys catching up with friends, reading both fiction and nonfiction, and playing video games.

Two years ago, I met Dr. Delgado at one of the darkest points in my life. I had been four years California sober, but my mind was still in chaos. Every morning felt like a battle — I’d wake up anxious, smoke weed, listen to music, and go through strange rituals just to get out the door. I was crying daily, fighting with family and strangers, and wondering why sobriety hadn’t fixed me. When I started seeing Dr. Delgado, he told me hard truths that I didn’t always want to hear. There were times I left angry, thinking he was wrong. But he never lost his patience with me — not once. His steady guidance, paired with my counselor Rebecca Silber at LifeStance and the right medication, helped me see that what I was battling wasn’t weakness or failure — it was illness. Today, my life is unrecognizable. I went from barely holding down a restaurant job to serving celebrities on Broadway and earning my real estate license in New York City. I wake up clear-headed, organized, and genuinely happy to face the day. The rituals and habits I once thought defined me, I now understand were symptoms of my bipolar disorder — and with treatment, I finally feel whole. Dr. Delgado, Rebecca Silber, and mirtazapine quite literally saved my life. I will forever be grateful for their patience, honesty, and compassion. They didn’t just help me survive — they helped me truly live. If you don’t believe me I attached pictures below 5 years apart

Over a year ago my life kept going in the same cycle it had for years. I wasn’t happy with it and couldn’t “change” it myself; or it seemed. Dr. Delgado has been kind, knowledgeable, invested and sincere. Working with him I was able to start a new life and a path I can wake up and enjoy each day. Don’t think twice about making an appointment. It’s hard work buts it’s life changing. Thank you Dr. Delgado.
