Joseph Reistetter helps adults throughout Utah find effective treatment for complex mental health conditions through personalized psychiatric care at LifeStance Health. As a psychiatrist, he partners with patients to understand their experiences, identify the factors affecting their well-being, and develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term recovery and improved quality of life. He provides medication management services for adults experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder, while also treating a wide range of additional mental health concerns. Joseph has a particular interest in helping individuals whose symptoms have not responded adequately to traditional approaches. He is committed to expanding access to innovative psychiatric treatments and works closely with patients to explore evidence-based options that may provide meaningful relief when standard interventions have not been enough. His focus is on helping people regain functioning, improve emotional health, and move toward their personal goals with confidence. In addition to medication management, Joseph offers advanced treatments including Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Spravato®/ketamine-based therapies. These services may be appropriate for certain individuals living with treatment-resistant depression and other challenging psychiatric conditions. His clinical approach emphasizes thoughtful evaluation, ongoing collaboration, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Alongside his primary areas of focus, he works with individuals experiencing trauma-related disorders, psychosis, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and other mental health concerns. Joseph earned his medical education from Oregon Health & Science University. He combines clinical expertise with a patient-centered philosophy, believing that successful psychiatric care begins with listening carefully and building a strong therapeutic partnership. Outside of his practice, Joseph enjoys hiking, cooking, gardening, archaeology, and reading.
