Dr. Thornberry can provide psychotherapy and psychological assessment services for individuals and families across the lifespan with a variety of mental health problems and/or problems with adjusting to stressors, life transitions, academic or vocational concerns, or medical issues.
He utilizes an integrated, evidence-based approach that incorporates CBT, ACT, MI, and other techniques to address difficulties related to anxiety, depression, trauma and post-traumatic stress, panic, specific phobias, disruptive behavior disorders (e.g., ODD, ADHD), adjustment disorders, parenting difficulties, and existential concerns. Dr. Thornberry develops a collaborative, empathic, honest relationship with his clients from which they can work together to identify and address issues at the client’s pace. Dr. Thornberry is a certified Parent-Child Interaction Therapy provider and Within-Agency Trainer.
Outside of work, Dr. Thornberry enjoys spending time with his family, being outdoors, hiking, exercise, meditation, yoga, spirituality, reading, cooking, TV, movies, and stand-up comedy.
