Amanda Crabtree received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and her master’s degree and doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Kentucky River Community Care in Hazard, KY and post-doctorate at New Vista as a Program Manager for the Center for Women and Children, a 28-day residential treatment center for mothers struggling with Substance Use Disorders. Over the last 10 years, Dr. Crabtree has worked in a variety of settings and with numerous populations and has found tremendous value in helping her clients discover themselves and guide them on a journey to living a life that brings them joy. Her clinical interests include: addiction, anxiety disorders, depression, obsessive compulsive disorders, personality disorders, advocacy for underserved populations, psychosis, and post-traumatic stress disorders. She has worked with folks in prison, residential treatment, psychiatric hospitals, outpatient community clinics, and within school systems. Dr. Crabtree is certified in Racial Trauma Therapy, Seeking Safety (for dual diagnosis PTSD and Addiction), and has acted a substance use disorder clinician educator, program manager, and addiction counselor for the last 3 years in community mental health outpatient/residential setting.
