Hello, I’m Dr. Geneva Polser. Do you want to move beyond surviving and begin to thrive? Are you navigating chronic pain or chronic illness? Many of us move through our days without being present and are caught up in the past. I strive to collaborate with clients to help determine what patterns in their lives may not be as helpful as they once were and how to implement new ways of connecting with the world around them.
In 2020, I graduated with a Doctorate in Psychology in Counseling Psychology from the University of Denver. Now, I am a Licensed Psychologist beginning my private practice. My past work has focused on trauma or PTSD, chronic pain or chronic illness, anxiety, and depression. I have been trained in many different approaches and typically employ mindfulness-based interventions, emotion-focused therapy, EMDR, and clinical hypnosis.
I feel so honored to get a glimpse into the lives of others and be able to assist them in thriving in their life instead of merely surviving. Being able to work with someone to help them find and sit with their feelings is a true passion of mine. Seeing the change in a client and the way that impacts their interaction with the world is beautiful. One of my favorite parts of therapy is the playfulness that can enter the room. We will talk about all the hard stuff, but bringing some light or playfulness into the room is a critical dynamic. If I had to pick three words to describe my practice, I would say grounded, relational, and collaborative.
