Dr. Gallagher is a clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of children and their families. She joined the Counseling Center of Nashua, now Lifestance Health, in 2002 after completing a fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She completed her doctoral degree in 2001 following an internship year at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. While she enjoyed the excitement of a hospital setting, she was eager to return to outpatient practice and enjoys being able to work with children and families more consistently.

Dr. Gallagher currently works primarily with children and young adolescents and utilizes a strengths-based and collaborative approach to treatment. She strives to actively involve parents and guardians in the treatment process. Dr. Gallagher has a particular passion for managing anxiety disorders using cognitive-behavioral, exposure-based, and parent-focused methods, such as Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS). She also has an interest in working with children with acute and chronic medical conditions.

In her free time Dr. Gallagher enjoys reading, playing the piano, attempting to knit, and spending time in Cape Cod. She values time spent with her husband, two young adult daughters, and the family’s cats.
