Emma Farkas, PsyD, LP,
About Emma Farkas (She/Her)
Emma Farkas helps children, adolescents, teens, and young adults build resilience, improve emotional well-being, and navigate life’s challenges with confidence. Serving patients throughout Ohio, she provides compassionate, evidence-based mental health care through LifeStance Health. Emma works collaboratively with patients and families to create personalized treatment plans that support meaningful growth while addressing concerns such as anxiety, ADHD, and childhood behavior issues. She offers individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, and psychological testing, as well as additional services tailored to each patient’s unique needs.
A significant focus of Emma’s clinical work involves supporting children and adolescents who have experienced trauma, including those with PTSD and inappropriate or atypical sexual behaviors. She also has extensive experience working with youth facing conduct difficulties and involvement in the juvenile justice system. Emma is passionate about helping these young people and their families better understand behavioral patterns, strengthen relationships, and develop skills that promote long-term success both at home and in their communities.
Emma incorporates proven therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family-based interventions to help patients build practical coping skills and improve emotional regulation. Her treatment approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and developmentally appropriate, creating a supportive environment where young people can feel understood and empowered. She also provides psychological testing when clinically indicated and offers additional therapeutic interventions to meet each patient’s needs.
She earned her education from Duquesne University and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Her professional background reflects a strong commitment to helping children, teens, and young adults overcome challenges while recognizing and building upon their strengths.
Outside of her clinical work, Emma enjoys spending time outdoors, cheering on her favorite sports teams, watching new movies, traveling, and creating meaningful memories with family and friends. Her genuine enthusiasm for connecting with others helps foster an approachable and supportive therapeutic experience.
