Mary Hendrickson, PhD, PsyD, Psychologist in Issaquah, Washington

Mary is a clinical psychologist who graduated in 1997 from Finch University of Health Sciences/Chicago Medial School (now named the Rosalind Franklin University). She has a PhD focusing on health psychology. She currently works with individual adults, and also has past experience working with children and their families. Her approach to care is that people feel and function best when they have a sense of direction and meaning in life, connection with others, compassion for self and others, and balance in their physical, emotional and social life. She collaborates with each person to create goals, add to their skills in navigating life’s challenges, and develop meaningful relationships. She looks to create a non-judgmental, supportive environment for adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, bipolar disorder, grief and loss, life transitions, health challenges, and interpersonal difficulties. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), complemented with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help each person use their own strengths and resolve problems. In her free time, she loves gardening, ceramics, reading, camping, and time with family.
