Monique Carr helps children, teens, adults, couples, and families across Arizona navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clarity, and practical support. As a Licensed Professional Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides individualized therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. With extensive experience helping clients through emotional and behavioral challenges, Monique creates a supportive space where people can build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and work toward meaningful, lasting change. A particular area of passion for Monique is working with individuals involved in court-ordered treatment. She understands the unique circumstances that can bring someone to therapy through legal or court-related requirements and strives to create a respectful, nonjudgmental environment focused on growth and accountability. Her goal is to help clients gain insight, develop healthier patterns, and make positive changes that extend far beyond meeting court obligations. Monique specializes in trauma recovery, anxiety, and ADHD, integrating advanced therapeutic approaches that address both emotional and physical responses to stress. Her work is informed by EMDR, trauma-informed therapy, somatic approaches, and polyvagal-informed care, helping clients better understand the connection between the brain, body, and emotions. She utilizes evidence-based interventions including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while offering additional therapeutic approaches tailored to each client’s needs. She also has experience supporting members of the military and veteran community, first responders, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Working with children, adolescents, teens, and adults, Monique provides individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. She helps clients address challenges related to trauma, emotional regulation, life transitions, relationship concerns, behavioral issues, and overall mental wellness. Her collaborative style emphasizes empowerment, practical skill-building, and creating a strong therapeutic partnership. Monique earned degrees from Bradley University and Northern Arizona University. Since beginning her counseling practice in 2017, she has remained committed to helping clients move from surviving difficult circumstances to thriving in their daily lives. Outside of her clinical work, Monique enjoys swimming, archery, weight training, painting, and refurbishing furniture. These activities reinforce values she brings into therapy, including patience, perseverance, creativity, and steady personal growth.
