Ahndrea Weiner has been practicing in California as a licensed Marriage and Family therapist and licensed Professional Clinical Counselor since 1993. She holds a Master’s of Science in Educational Psychology from California State, University Northridge, and has been seeing clients for over 30 years. She works from a psychodynamic perspective using Motivational Interviewing and/or Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBT), as her theoretical orientations.

Ahndrea believes her strength as clinician is meeting clients where they are at rather than setting a change agenda for them. Her areas of expertise include working with anxieties, addictions, life transitions, aging baby boomers, depression and grief, and stress related situations. Being a therapist has taught Ahndrea to have respect for the process of change and the difficulties that come along with it. She acknowledges that each client is an expert on themself and works within a spirit of empathy and collaboration to help bring forth the answers they already have within.

In her spare time, Ahndrea likes to give back to the field of therapy by serving as Professor of Psychology in the graduate program at Pepperdine University. Along with her passion for teaching, she also takes great pride in being part of a canine pack which includes 2 Alaskan Malamutes and 1 Golden Retriever, all of which may be at her side at any given time as she provides online therapy.
