Payton Adams, MA, LPCC,
About Payton Adams (She/Her)
Payton Adams helps adults navigate emotional distress, life transitions, and patterns that may feel difficult to change, offering therapy grounded in compassion, collaboration, and practical skill-building. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy and case management to adults throughout Colorado, supporting clients as they work toward greater emotional well-being and meaningful change. Payton’s clinical work includes support for anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD/trauma. She recognizes that mental health concerns can affect relationships, daily routines, self-confidence, and the ability to feel fully present in life. Her approach creates space for clients to better understand their experiences while developing strategies that align with their individual needs and goals. Payton incorporates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), along with additional therapeutic interventions when appropriate. She strives to provide a thoughtful, supportive environment where clients can explore challenges, strengthen coping skills, and build greater resilience. Payton earned her education from the University of Virginia and Naropa University and practices as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys reading fiction and fantasy, practicing mindfulness and meditation, expressing her creativity through crafting, drawing, painting, and knitting, and spending time with her pets.
