About Maureen Lewis-Huebel (She/Her)
With a holistic background in mental health and health coaching, I am passionate about recognizing the unique individuality of each person that I work with and understand that there is no one size fits all approach in therapy. I strive to tailor my therapeutic and coaching approaches to each patient and focus on person centered planning and personal growth. My main area of focus is working with individuals who are experiencing generalized and social anxiety, depression, stress management, life transitions, emotional/stress eating, and substance abuse issues. Depending on your individual needs I may utilize various therapy modalities, including Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness techniques.
I am originally from a suburb of Detroit, where I obtained my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Spanish from Madonna University (Livonia, Michigan), and my Master of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University (Detroit, Michigan). Certified through the American Council on Exercise, I am also a Certified Health Coach and have a passion for guiding people through the behavioral change process. With over 23 years of experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including tele-health, community mental health, private practice, education, corporate health care, and intensive outpatient treatment.
