Specializes In:
Ramya Balapa helps children, adolescents, teens, and adults throughout Florida navigate emotional challenges, strengthen family relationships, and build healthier coping strategies for everyday life. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate, evidence-based individual and family therapy tailored to each patient’s unique experiences and goals. Ramya works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, and additional mental health concerns, creating a supportive therapeutic space where patients feel understood, encouraged, and empowered to heal. Ramya is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are adjusting back to daily life. She understands that the transition after inpatient treatment can feel overwhelming and emotionally complex, and she focuses on helping patients rebuild stability, strengthen coping skills, and regain confidence during recovery. Her approach emphasizes emotional safety, consistency, and practical strategies that support long-term mental wellness while reducing the risk of relapse or isolation. With experience treating both children and adults, Ramya also works closely with families navigating childhood behavioral concerns, school avoidance, PTSD and trauma, and life transitions. She has experience supporting diverse populations, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders, developmental disabilities, military veterans, and LGBTQ+ patients. Her therapeutic style is collaborative and adaptable, incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness techniques, and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy to help patients better manage emotions, improve communication, and develop healthier thought patterns. She offers additional support for a variety of emotional and behavioral health concerns. Since beginning her clinical career in 2016, Ramya has remained dedicated to providing thoughtful, culturally aware mental health care. She earned her education from the University of Central Florida, Montfort College, and Mount Carmel College, bringing a broad and well-rounded perspective to her work with individuals and families. Outside of therapy, Ramya enjoys crafting and photography, creative outlets that allow her to recharge and appreciate moments of connection and self-expression. She values the importance of balance, creativity, and mindfulness both personally and professionally. Ramya Balapa proudly serves patients across Florida through LifeStance Health.
