Adam Kessler, LCPC
Specializes In:
I personally know how much stress can come from seeking counseling, so I will ensure to create a safe and holding environment that will allow for you to feel as stress-free as possible. I have experience working with couples, PTSD, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, and the LGBTQIA+ Community. I am currently accepting requests for therapy in-person and via secure video sessions on VSee. I utilize psychodynamic skills, narrative, CBT, solution-focused, multicultural, and client-centered techniques to help you overcome challenges you come to therapy with and to ensure you feel as comfortable as possible sharing them. I utilize cognitive-behavioral therapy in combination with psychodynamic therapy to assist you in identifying negative thought patterns and emotional dysfunction. My intention is to help you apply healthy thought patterns, while respecting your emotions, in order to guide you to a place where you can start healing and are more satisfied with your day-to-day. I like to think about therapy like a road-trip: you are the driver and have a place in mind of where you want to go. I am in your passenger seat with navigation open helping you get there as best as I can. But if you aren’t comfortable taking a turn somewhere, let me know, and I will work with you to find a different direction that works best for your needs.
