I believe the crux of treatment rests on the collaborative relationship between therapist and client. I use Psychodynamic (relational) , Humanistic, and Existential psychotherapies, as well as Bibliotherapy to guide others toward uncovering deeper insights into the root causes of their distressing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Informed by theories of attachment and current research in the neurobiology of Trauma and addictions, I honor the lived experience of each individual, bringing curiosity, humility, warmth, and humor to the therapeutic relationship. I have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA2S+, chronic pain/illness, medical crises, process and substance addictions, complex trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
