Cory Dolley is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2019. Cory just wants to be able to help give people a fighting chance to have a healthy, happy, productive life. Perhaps you are someone in your late 20’s to 60’s and are not used to asking for help because you were taught early never to show vulnerability. Perhaps you are dealing with unacknowledged trauma from years ago that was never seriously addressed. All you know is that you are in pain, and that pain is affecting all your other relationships, making it harder to reach out to others, hard to trust anyone. Perhaps you were coping with that pain by drinking or using other drugs. You just want to get better, and to live a healthier, happier life. You want to have a better relationship with the people you love. Cory can work with a variety of people to identify and address the issues that they are having so that they can begin to have better lives. He uses a compassion based and understanding approach and works with people’s strengths so that they can begin to address the problems they are having and work to have the better lives they want to have. Cory has worked with a wide variety of clients and helped people process grief, loss, anxiety, and anger. He has helped clients navigate complex family and domestic issues, and substance use. Cory has worked with clients dealing with PTSD and depression and with LGBTQIA clients processing their issues, and People of Color navigating their lives. Cory offers a place for clients to feel seen and accepted for who they are while they work through whatever issues that concern them at the time. He knows that when life is hurting you, kicking you when you are already down, how easy it is to not want to get back up. Cory knows how it is when you feel alone and scared, and you just want to stay at home and not talk to anyone. There is help out there for you, just waiting for you to reach out. Cory is here to give you help when you are ready to call.
