Excellence care! The VA sent me to some outside therapy where I was connected with Anisa Pasho as my therapist. I haven’t been in the best place recently but she has been extremely helpful. I waited years to seek treatment and even longer to meet with a therapist and didn’t even want to. I’m so glad I was talked into it. She knows when to just listen, she knows when to speak up, she knows how to gently encourage me to get outside my comfort zone, and gives amazing advice in such a caring way. I could go on and on. To any of my fellow veterans or anyone else out there. I strongly encourage you to seek out Anisa. She pours her heart and soul into all types and approaches of therapy and is constantly striving to learn so she can better help. We even spoke about how she attended a veteran mental health awareness event to help better understand the veteran side. I’ve had a wonderful experience and that’s coming from someone who never thought I would talk to anyone. I had no desire to. I’m sure glad I did. To my fellow vets. Please talk to your provider about outside help if the VA is taking too long or the provider isn’t a good fit. It truly does help and that’s coming from a stubborn infantry Marine who hates asking for help or admitting to anything being wrong. We didn’t complain while in and that seems to stick with us when we get out. We have to change our thinking. I know that’s easier said than done but we have to fix that 22 a day number and the right therapist can make all the difference. Plus, the more veterans who seek help will allow others like us to see that it’s okay and doesn’t make us weak. I’m now a believer. Thank you Anisa for everything you have done for all your patients including myself!

From the moment I walk in the door I am greeted by the two most amazing women Shawntae and Colleen. They are such a breath of fresh air and always so willing to listen and help. My therapist Stephanie comes to greet me and honestly there are not enough words to describe how absolutely amazing she is. She listens, validates my feelings and gives me the best advice. She has changed my life for the better and I am so thankful for Stephanie. I look forward to my visits and I always feel heard and feel so good when I talk to her. I cannot say enough great things about the entire experience.

Yesterday I had a really emotional session with my new Therapist Ms.J.Teawater. She is very professional and I feel comfortable opening up with her.The questions that she had to ask me for the first session was very tough and has made me feel my emotions on what I am feeling inside.I can tell this is her calling in society to help her clients for the better an their well being.The way she interact with me for my sessions was a fantastic start out experience.

I have been seeing Sony with Lifestance for about 7 months and he has helped me more in that time than my previous two or three providers combined. He is extremely thorough and empathetic and I feel that I actually have a say in my treatment plans. Additionally, after my prior provider left the practice, Caitlin at the Darien office was extremely helpful and supportive in helping me find a new provider, and matched me up with Sony.

Virtual therapy It’s all pretty simple and do an even for a tech and savvy old person like me. You can always call the local office that your therapist works out of and there’s subs just will lead you through everything. I had some forms that need to be sent in, and the receptionist was a godsend.
