I have been seeing Hildred Amegashie for around 8 months for psychiatry services through LifeStance and I will say that it has been a wonderful experience. During our first meeting, she really gave me the impression that she cared about helping me and dug deep to get at the root of my issues in order to come up with a diagnosis and treatment plan. It had never occurred to me that I might have ADHD but she did a great job of explaining how my brain works and so many things about my life started to make sense. I can honestly say that it was the first time in a long time that I felt seen by a health care professional and it felt great. Over the course of the last few months we have worked together to try out different medications and dosages that would be the most effective for my symptoms and I can honestly say that at the time of writing this review this is the best I've felt in a long time. I have struggled with mental health issues for most of my life and I have not worked with a professional as fun and caring as Hildred before. I actually look forward to our appointments because she provides me clear explanations about how medications work without making me feel stupid and actively listens to my self reports to make the right changes. Plus she's pretty funny. I usually don't write reviews for things but I felt that I wanted to share my experience with others if they are on the fence about seeing a psychiatrist. I went to my PCP for medications for years and it's not even close to the same level of expertise and care you receive with a psychiatrist. For example, my PCP would often just throw benzos at me to help with my anxiety symptoms instead of trying to treat the underlying cause of the symptoms as part of a holistic approach. This was a long winded way to say that Hildred is awesome and LifeStance has made my life so much better. Check em out.

I give 5 stars to Deborah Wilson. A great listener with a great attitude. A Psychiatrist primary focus should be their ability to listen and combine the requestees goal/concern/burden with their own to accomplish the goal and complete the mission. You ask me how I would rate the place. That I cannot review. Your place is of no concern to the customer. The customer is purely concerned with how great an ally the services rendered is. Your brothers and sisters in arms deserve their dues, acknowledgement and respect. I highly suggest changing your review/rating system. Have the customer rate their experience with the individual they work with. Take the sum of the reviews and stars and divide the stars by the number of reviews to draw an accurate, reliable and trustworthy image/impression of your organization. I recommend a redrawing/remaster of the maps/logistics if you intend to place and have proper placement. A task which I would undertake with pleasure at no cost. Too much is lost, discarded or forgotten these long dark days

I write this review solely for one provider: Hildred Amegashie. She's an amazing practitioner and is the only provider who has been able to truly help me in the past 5 years. I struggled a lot with anxiety and panic attacks, to the point where I couldn't go to school or work, or sleep, but now, I'm back at work and starting my own business. She's kind, funny, responsive, and incredibly intelligent in her field. I've never heard of most of what she talks about, but she will explain it to you, what it does, and how everything works in your plan. I've never had such customized care, and she makes sure to make minor tweaks and adjustments until it's perfect. She listens to everything you have to say and will make adjustments based on your needs. She also helps support you during the uncomfortable period that is changing medications/providers by seeing you more frequently and for longer times to really work out your plan. She's a life-changer and I can't recommend her enough!!

My first meeting with my new psychiatrist at Lifestance in Naperville was good. They had me complete a list of on boarding background questions. I was impressed with the type of information I was asked to provide. My search for a new psychiatrist was because of my relocation to Naperville and that Lifestance is in network for my Humana plan. The appointment was very thorough as the doctor found out about my psychological history. She also reviewed the meds I have been taking and made notes on what revisions she may recommend going forward after getting to know me better. In summary, I am very encouraged with my new psychiatrist. She is just as important as my regular family doctor. Jim Koeneman

Today is my first time utilizing this company and mental health services . I like the appointment reminders and sufficient time to fill out forms. Office staff were very nice too. I was seen by provider Diana Wells. She was extremely helpful and attentive to my concerns. By the manner she’s speaks, she is extremely caring, and was able to bring awareness to other needs that I require and have been putting off for years. I feel liberated and look forward to my future appointments with her.

I was connected to this office/group through ZocDoc. The virtual intake process was very easy (the patient portal is intuitive and user-friendly). The day of my appointment, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming, and my NP, Debora, was absolutely amazing. Anyone would be at ease with her, but especially if you are African, she will be able to bring cultural nuances into your care that make the experience even more comfortable. I highly recommend Debora & LifeStance.
