Flexible Minds: A Radical Openness Therapy Group in Illinois

This group supports individuals with overcontrol in softening rigid patterns, building openness, and fostering more authentic, meaningful connections with others.

Group Overview:

The Flexible Minds group uses Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT) to support individuals whose overcontrol often shows up as perfectionism, emotional restraint, or difficulty connecting with others. We’ll explore rigid patterns that may be keeping you stuck and encourage growth through self-inquiry approached with curiosity and openness.

Individuals experiencing the following diagnoses and/or symptoms may benefit from this group:

  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
  • Treatment-resistant or chronic depression
  • Anorexia nervosa (restricting type)
  • Chronic anxiety
  • Perfectionism and high self-criticism
  • Autism spectrum (without intellectual disability)
  • Caregiver burnout, particularly in those who are overly self-sacrificing

Participants: Adults 18+

Cost: Insurance and self-pay

When: Hybrid on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8 p.m., starting September 30 and ending December 23, 2026.
