Group Overview:
Strong Roots. Confident Voices. Empowered Futures.
Raíces y Poder provides a supportive, inclusive, and culturally affirming environment where participants can build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and connect with peers who may share similar experiences, backgrounds, and cultural values.
Through guided discussions, skill-building activities, creative expression, and peer support, participants will explore their strengths, identities, resilience, and sense of belonging. This group is ideal for young people seeking connection, empowerment, and practical tools to support emotional well-being, healthy development, and positive mental health before challenges become more significant barriers to wellness.
Participants: Latina pre-teen and adolescent girls and female-identifying youth of all gender identities and sexual orientations who may be experiencing low self-esteem, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, relationship challenges, or stress related to identity development.
Cost: Insurance and self-pay
When: In person on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m., starting January 23 and ending April 24, 2027
Facilitator:
Dr. Maria Sanchez helps adults across Illinois find greater clarity, balance, and well-being through compassionate and collaborative mental health care in English and Spanish.
