Kyle Branner (He/Him/His) is an LCPC and CADC in Illinois. Kyle believes that the client serves an important role in the therapeutic environment. He believes in helping clients identify the best versions of themselves through an eclectic therapeutic approach. Kyle believes in the power of externalization, helping clients separate themselves from the problems they bring into therapy, and connecting to patients through real-life experiences helps to build rapport and genuine connection. Kyle offers a safe space for all. Kyle has a passion to advocate for others and believes we should show our love in each and every way! Pride, love, expression, fairness, and comfort is important to Kyle and loves to support others in the LGBTQ+ community. Kyle has a passion for social justice, equity, and equality for each of his clients. Kyle worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections for four years providing therapeutic services, including crisis intervention, to incarcerated men struggling with severe mental illness. Kyle has extensive experience working with a wide array of mental health disorders and concerns including personality disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, and anger management. Kyle utilizes an eclectic approach when working with clients, encouraging the client to express themselves in a whole new way in which they never have before. Kyle utilizes techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Narrative, Interpersonal, Psychodynamic, Existentialism, Mindfulness, and so many more. Kyle believes that helping the client identify the best version of themselves is the best part about therapy! Kyle has specialized training in working with individuals struggling with substance abuse and current works with individuals struggling with chemical dependency disorders. Kyle utilizes Motivational Interviewing to help clients understand what motivates them for change and discover healthier coping skills to manage daily stressors. Outside of work, Kyle loves to work out and live a healthy lifestyle! Kyle loves to be outside and travel. His favorite place to be with family and friends is the beach and loves warm, summer weather! Kyle completed his first marathon (the 2024 Chicago Marathon) in October! Kyle is also a Cycle Instructor in his free time! Kyle is so excited to meet you and help you identify the best version of yourself!
