Danielle Hanisch is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who obtained her master’s degree in Social Work with a specialization in Clinical Social Work from Aurora University. Danielle believes in the Biopsychosocial model to evaluate and counsel multiple areas that contribute to distressing thoughts and emotions. She strives to create a comfortable and safe environment where she can connect with individuals therapeutically and provide treatment by meeting the individual where they are at.

Danielle mainly utilizes treatment modalities consisting of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness. Danielle has experience providing treatment to individuals experiencing psychosis, obsessive compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, and mood disorders. Danielle also enjoys working with individuals throughout pregnancy and parenthood. She also knows midlife and laterlife transitions can be difficult adjustments that may trigger irritability, conflict in relationships, and decreased time doing the things we love. Danielle assists individuals with developing coping skills, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. She also has spent time advocating for sexual assault survivors and facilitating prevention education to children.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys utilizing her sense of humor and spending time with loved ones. She also loves to craft, spend time outside, and play with her two dogs.
