About Jacqulyn Braxton (She/Her)
Jacqulyn Braxton, LCPC, helps teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois navigate emotional challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful change through compassionate, evidence-based therapy. As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Jacqulyn partners with patients to develop practical coping strategies while fostering insight, confidence, and lasting emotional well-being. A particular area of passion for Jacqulyn is supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital. She understands that the transition back to daily life can feel complex and overwhelming, and she works closely with patients to promote stability, strengthen coping skills, reduce the risk of setbacks, and support continued progress in recovery. Her approach emphasizes consistency, support, and helping individuals regain a sense of control and hope as they move forward. Jacqulyn has experience helping patients manage anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also supporting individuals facing concerns related to bipolar disorder, grief, life transitions, sleep difficulties, and other mental health challenges. She works with teens, adults, older adults, and members of the LGBTQ+ community, as well as individuals on the autism spectrum. Because mental health needs are rarely one-size-fits-all, she also provides support for a variety of additional emotional and behavioral concerns. Her therapeutic style integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Jacqulyn believes effective therapy creates a safe, collaborative environment where patients can explore challenges openly, develop new perspectives, and gain skills that support long-term growth and wellness. Jacqulyn earned her education at National Louis University. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys fitness and physical movement, expressive and creative arts, interior decorating, home remodeling, and traveling. These interests reflect her appreciation for creativity, self-expression, balance, and personal growth.
