Anna Liszka, LCPC, meets clients where they are and sets realistic goals to help them achieve their greatest potential. By creating a safe, relaxed, non-judgmental space for clients to be their authentic selves, Anna accepts her clients for who they are and welcomes people from all backgrounds. After earning a graduate degree from Bradley University in 2019, Anna worked in a residential setting with children experiencing mood and behavioral disorders. She then transitioned to private practice, enabling her to assist clients from various backgrounds. While working with clients of all ages, Anna particularly enjoys supporting young adults navigating relationship, school, and work stressors. Additionally, she helps teenagers struggling with depression, anxiety, and trauma. As a mother, Anna also offers guidance for mothers adjusting to parenthood and its accompanying challenges. Additionally, she provides couples counseling to help address relational difficulties and promotes healthy communication to enhance intimacy and improve relationship dynamics. Anna uses the therapy hour to allow clients to process confusing/frustrating emotions, to teach them new skills to aid in emotional regulation, to build upon their strengths, and to guide them in problem solving. In therapy, Anna utilizes an array of evidence-based interventions tailored to each client. She also employs humor to foster relationships and help clients feel at ease while addressing their difficulties. In every case, Anna’s objective is to aid clients in developing strategies that target problematic areas and bridge the gap between who the client is now and who they aspire to be. Therapy is a journey – and Anna is prepared to walk alongside you.
