Maddie Berry, MSSW, LCSW,
About Maddie Berry (She/Her)
Hi, I’m Maddie Berry, LCSW, and I help children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois find support during some of life’s most difficult emotional and mental health challenges. At LifeStance Health, I provide compassionate individual therapy for those navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, grief, life transitions, and feelings of emotional overwhelm. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel respected, understood, and empowered to make meaningful, lasting changes in your life. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who have recently been discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are working to regain stability, confidence, and hope following an acute mental health crisis. I understand that returning to everyday life after hospitalization can feel isolating, overwhelming, and exhausting. Together, we can focus on rebuilding routines, strengthening coping skills, and reconnecting with supportive relationships. My approach combines evidence-based care with empathy, consistency, and encouragement, helping you move forward at a pace that feels comfortable, manageable, and sustainable. With experience working with individuals across all stages of life, I partner with children, teens, and adults facing emotional and behavioral challenges at home, school, work, or within their relationships. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies to help patients better understand their thought patterns, regulate emotions, and improve overall functioning. I also incorporate additional therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique goals, strengths, and needs. I deeply value inclusive, patient-centered care and have experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, with a strong emphasis on building trust, fostering resilience, and providing practical tools that support long-term emotional wellness. Since beginning my clinical practice in 2019, I have remained dedicated to helping individuals throughout Illinois navigate anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, mood disorders, and major life transitions with greater clarity, confidence, and self-understanding. I believe therapy is a partnership, and I feel honored to walk alongside my patients as they work toward healing, growth, and a more fulfilling life. Outside of work, I enjoy playing pickleball, reading, and cooking. These activities help me stay grounded, balanced, and connected outside of the therapy space, and they reinforce the importance of creating time for joy, self-care, and meaningful connection in everyday life.
