Maddie Berry, LCSW, helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults throughout Illinois find support during some of life’s most difficult emotional and mental health challenges. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, she provides compassionate individual therapy for patients navigating anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, as well as concerns related to grief, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. Maddie creates a therapeutic environment where patients feel safe, respected, and empowered to work toward meaningful and lasting change. Maddie is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are working to regain stability, confidence, and hope after an acute mental health crisis. She understands that transitioning back into daily life after hospitalization can feel isolating and emotionally exhausting, and she focuses on helping patients rebuild routines, strengthen coping skills, and reconnect with supportive relationships. Her approach combines evidence-based care with empathy and consistency, helping patients move forward at a pace that feels manageable and sustainable. With experience treating patients across the developmental spectrum, Maddie works closely with children, teens, and adults facing emotional and behavioral challenges at home, school, work, or in relationships. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based strategies to help patients better understand thought patterns, regulate emotions, and improve overall functioning. She also offers additional therapeutic approaches tailored to each patient’s individual goals and needs. Maddie values inclusive, patient-centered care and has experience supporting members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and individuals with autism spectrum disorders. Her therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed, emphasizing trust, resilience, and practical tools for long-term mental wellness. Since beginning her clinical practice in 2019, Maddie has remained dedicated to helping individuals throughout Illinois navigate anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, mood disorders, and major life transitions with greater clarity and confidence. Outside of work, she enjoys playing pickleball, reading, and cooking, all of which help her stay grounded and connected outside the therapy space.
