Michelle Gaspar, LCPC, brings a deeply compassionate and experienced approach to supporting individuals across Maine through life’s most difficult challenges. Whether someone is navigating anxiety, coping with depression, struggling with complex trauma, or anger management, Michelle offers a calm, respectful space to begin the healing process. She provides care for adults and seniors through individual and group therapy, as well as couples and family counseling. Her work is grounded in a trauma-informed approach and is especially attuned to the unique needs of military veterans and first responders. Michelle is especially passionate about working with individuals facing later-life transitions, grief, and women’s mental health concerns—including postpartum depression and anxiety. She understands the weight of these experiences and is committed to walking alongside her clients as they find clarity, strength, and renewed purpose. Michelle’s therapeutic style blends evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness strategies tailored to each person’s goals and experiences. As a U.S. Army veteran and Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), Michelle brings first-hand insight into the emotional toll of high-stress professions and the long-term impact of service. Her experience with veterans and first responders ensures that her clients feel heard and understood—without judgment. Outside of her clinical work, Michelle finds joy in traveling, caring for animals, swimming, and exploring new hobbies like painting, making blankets, and learning about diverse cultures. These interests help her stay grounded and bring creativity and empathy into her therapeutic relationships.
