About Adam Gorsetman (He/Him)
Adam Gorsetman, LPCC, helps teens, adults, and older adults across Minnesota work through life’s challenges with clarity, resilience, and practical support. As a therapist at LifeStance Health, he provides individual, couples, and family therapy for those experiencing anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, helping patients develop healthier ways to manage stress, strengthen relationships, and improve emotional well-being. Adam is known for creating a welcoming, collaborative environment where patients feel comfortable exploring concerns and building meaningful change. A significant focus of Adam’s work is helping individuals navigate major life transitions and relationship challenges. Whether someone is facing midlife changes, struggling with communication difficulties, managing family conflict, or working through personal setbacks, he helps patients identify obstacles and develop effective strategies for moving forward. He also works with teens who may be experiencing school avoidance, emotional challenges, or difficulties communicating their needs, helping them gain confidence and improve their daily functioning. Adam’s therapeutic approach is grounded in evidence-based care and tailored to the unique goals of each patient. He frequently incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to help patients better understand their thoughts, regulate emotions, and develop lasting coping skills. In addition to his primary areas of expertise, he offers support for concerns such as ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), grief, men’s issues, and other mental health and relationship challenges. Because Adam provides individual, couples, and family therapy, he recognizes that emotional health is often connected to the quality of a person’s relationships and support systems. He works alongside patients and families to improve communication, strengthen connections, and foster healthier patterns of interaction. His goal is to help people build the skills needed to create meaningful, lasting improvements in their lives. Outside of his clinical work, Adam enjoys coaching, fishing, and spending time outdoors. These interests reflect his appreciation for growth, connection, and balance, values that also influence his work as a therapist. Adam earned degrees from the University of St. Thomas and Bethel University and is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality mental health care through LifeStance Health.
