Danielle Payne, MS, LCMHC,
About Danielle Payne (She/Her)
Danielle Payne helps teens and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical strategies, and evidence-based care. She provides individual therapy for patients across New Hampshire through LifeStance Health, supporting those who are seeking relief from anxiety, depression, and trauma-related concerns. Danielle creates a welcoming, collaborative environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes. She works with teens and adults and tailors treatment to each person’s unique experiences, goals, and strengths. A particular area of passion for Danielle is helping individuals experiencing alcohol and drug use issues. She understands the complex emotional, behavioral, and relational factors that can contribute to substance use and works closely with clients to build healthier coping skills, strengthen resilience, and support long-term recovery. Her approach emphasizes personal growth, self-awareness, and sustainable change while meeting clients where they are in their journey. In addition to substance use concerns, Danielle has experience helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, women’s mental health concerns, and PTSD/trauma. She utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients develop practical tools for managing emotions, improving relationships, and enhancing overall well-being. Danielle believes that successful therapy is built on trust, authenticity, and a strong therapeutic partnership. Before entering the counseling profession, Danielle developed a deep appreciation for the ways life experiences shape emotional health and personal growth. She earned degrees from Johnson & Wales University and the University of New England, bringing both professional expertise and genuine empathy to her work with clients.
Outside of her clinical practice, Danielle enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, road trips, biking, rollerblading, and spending quality time with her family. These activities help her maintain balance and reinforce her belief in the importance of connection, wellness, and lifelong growth. As a LifeStance Health therapist serving patients throughout New Hampshire, Danielle is committed to helping teens and adults build healthier, more fulfilling lives. Whether someone is seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use concerns, she provides thoughtful, personalized care focused on lasting progress.
