Tim Runk is an independent clinical social worker (LICSW), licensed in New Hampshire. He has received both a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of New Hampshire. He has 30+ years of experience in Human Service work including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health disorders. He believes that the process of mental health counseling requires the right blend of compassion, mutual respect, humor, and willingness to step into new territory together. His goal is to help others break free of their limiting beliefs and start creating the lives they truly want for themselves. That may mean offering a fresh perspective, teaching a new concept or strategy, listening with an open mind, or helping sort through a range of confusing options. Tim helps people to heal from a variety of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, anger, and addiction. In his spare time, Tim enjoys physical fitness and being active in the outdoors: hiking, biking, and paddle boarding with family and friends. He holds the rank of 5th Degree Black Belt in Isshin-Ryu Karate and Kobudo, and he often incorporates elements of Eastern Philosophy into his treatment approach.
