About Susan Norton (She/Her)
Susan Norton helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults find support, healing, and renewed hope during difficult seasons of life. Through LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for patients throughout New Hampshire, offering compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each person’s unique experiences and goals. Susan works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, and grief, while also supporting clients with a variety of additional mental health concerns. Her approach emphasizes creating a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients can develop insight, strengthen coping skills, and build resilience. A particular area of passion for Susan is supporting survivors of suicide, individuals who have experienced suicidal thoughts or attempts, and family members affected by these experiences. She recognizes the profound emotional impact that suicide-related struggles can have on individuals and their loved ones. Susan provides a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where clients can process complex emotions, foster healing, rebuild hope, and develop strategies for moving forward. She is deeply committed to helping individuals and families navigate recovery, loss, and resilience with dignity and support. In addition to this important work, Susan helps clients address anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder while offering support for additional mental health challenges. She utilizes evidence-based interventions including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients gain practical tools for managing symptoms and improving daily functioning. Whether working with a child struggling in school, an adult navigating life transitions, or an older adult coping with loss, Susan strives to provide thoughtful, individualized care that honors each client’s strengths and experiences. Susan earned degrees from Merrimack College and Simmons College, building a strong clinical foundation that supports her work with individuals across the lifespan. Her extensive experience allows her to adapt treatment approaches to meet the diverse needs of children, teens, adults, and seniors. Outside of her practice, Susan enjoys traveling, gardening, attending theater performances, and spending time with her grandchildren. These activities help her stay connected to the importance of family, creativity, personal growth, and meaningful life experiences. As a LifeStance Health therapist serving communities across New Hampshire, Susan is dedicated to helping people achieve greater emotional well-being and resilience. Whether seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, OCD, grief, suicide-related concerns, or other life challenges, clients can expect compassionate, personalized mental health care focused on lasting growth and healing.
