About Heather Martineau (She/Her)
Heather Martineau helps adolescents, teens, and adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, practical guidance, and evidence-based therapy. Serving patients throughout New Hampshire through LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive environment where individuals and families can build resilience, develop healthy coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal growth. Heather provides individual and family therapy for a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, and ADHD, while also offering support for many additional emotional and behavioral challenges. A significant focus of Heather’s work is helping individuals who are struggling with alcohol and drug use issues. She is passionate about supporting clients as they address substance use concerns, strengthen recovery skills, improve relationships, and regain a sense of balance and purpose. Heather understands that recovery is unique to each person and works collaboratively with clients to develop realistic goals that align with their values and needs. Heather takes a personalized approach to treatment, recognizing that every client brings a unique story and set of strengths to therapy. She works with teens, young adults, and adults experiencing concerns such as trauma, school avoidance, grief, relationship difficulties, and mood-related challenges. Her therapeutic approach may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and family therapy interventions, along with additional evidence-based strategies tailored to each client’s situation. Whether supporting a teenager struggling with anxiety, helping families improve communication, or guiding adults through major life transitions, Heather focuses on fostering trust, insight, and practical change. She believes effective therapy combines clinical expertise with genuine human connection, allowing clients to feel heard, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process. Outside of her professional work, Heather enjoys reading, staying active, spending time outdoors, and sharing meaningful moments with family and friends. She earned her education from Rivier College and Springfield College and has been dedicated to helping individuals and families improve their emotional well-being and quality of life.
As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor at LifeStance Health, Heather is proud to provide mental health counseling and substance use support to individuals and families across New Hampshire.
