“It takes courage to grow up and be who you really are.” – e. e. cummings As a therapist and a human being, I am committed to living fully in this moment, to being fully present and alive in the here and now. In my own life and in my years of experience as a clinical social worker providing therapy, I strive to center radical empathy, diligence, transparency, and integrity, because it takes courage to grow up and be who you really are. While I am happy to work with folks facing any number of life’s challenges, I specialize in providing affirming, evidence-based care for LGBTQIA+ folx, neurodivergent individuals (especially Autistics and ADHDers), disabled folx, and survivors of trauma. I also have extensive experience in the treatment of eating disorders. I work primarily in ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I love that ACT centers the client’s values as both the road map and the vehicle for recovery. And, if I’m completely honest, I use my DBT skills every day in my personal life. For survivors of trauma, I am trained Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD. While I don’t use them as much as I did earlier in my career, I am also trained in Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Family Based Treatment. Outside of work, I enjoy alpine skiing & hiking with my partner, tai chi, tabletop gaming, video games, and cooking for the people I care about. My spouse and I live with and delight in our two, terribly spoiled cats.
