With over 20 years of post-graduate experience, I have a broad and varied background which enables me to uniquely help children, adolescents, parents, and adults. I worked in foster care and adoption before beginning a career in school social work. While working in this field, counseling children of all ages with a variety of needs and challenges, I noticed that staff members would come to my office frequently and that these visits turned into counseling sessions. While I continue to enjoy working with children, it has been a pleasure expanding my practice into supporting adults as well. I have extensive experience with children and adolescents, providing school-based and after school counseling and mental health services to children, focusing on emotional regulation, social issues, impulsivity, depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder and developmental concerns. I work with parents who have children with mental health struggles, in order to help manage stress and as well as focus on problem-solving. I also work with adults who are coping with stressors such as work, relationships, life events and changes, anxiety, and/or depression. Together, we will navigate and manage difficult, negative and challenging emotions as well as recognizing and responding to emotions in self and others. No matter who are you are, you can expect a welcoming, relaxed environment so that you get the best and most productive experience out of your therapy session.
