Amy is a highly trained clinical social worker who believes that every individual deserves compassion, patience and understanding. She is experienced working in both outpatient and inpatient settings and specializes in the treatment of adults who are experiencing a wide range of clinical, behavioral and emotional issues. Amy employs strategies that help her patients develop coping skills to regulate their emotions and stay mindful in order to achieve meaningful and happy lives. Amy possesses excellent evaluation and communication skills and has a proven ability to quickly establish solid working relationships with patients and other case clinicians. Amy has 20+ years’ experience providing clinical services to individuals and families of various populations. She is proficient in both Dialectic Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and received her training from the Marsha Linehan Institute and Four Winds Hospital. Amy has led bullying prevention workshops and instituted curriculum for teachers and students that incorporates The Olweus Program to reduce and prevent bullying problems among school age children and to improve peer relations at school and throughout the community. Amy has been recognized by colleagues for her creative problem-solving skills and astute contributions to treatment teams. Throughout her many years of working in the Tri-State area, she has gained a broad knowledge of services and programs offered through OMH, OPWDD, TBI and the Office for the Aging. Amy is a licensed social worker and holds a Masters in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University Graduate School of Social Services and received her BA in Social Welfare from the University of Delaware.
