Kara Baird, MS, LPCC, LICDC,
About Kara Baird (She/Her)
Kara Baird helps adults and older adults across Ohio navigate life’s challenges with compassion, clinical expertise, and a personalized approach to care. As a therapist with LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy for those experiencing anxiety, depression, and alcohol or drug use concerns, while also supporting clients through a variety of other emotional and mental health needs. Kara believes that meaningful change begins with a strong therapeutic relationship built on trust, respect, and collaboration.
Kara is especially skilled in helping individuals who are facing anxiety, depression, and substance use challenges. She understands that these concerns often impact multiple areas of life and works with clients to identify practical strategies for healing, growth, and lasting wellness. Her treatment approach is tailored to each individual’s unique experiences, goals, and strengths.
In addition to these core focus areas, Kara supports adults navigating major life transitions, grief, medical or health-related concerns, and other personal challenges. She utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while also offering Christian Counseling for clients who wish to incorporate faith into their therapeutic journey. She offers additional therapeutic support for a wide range of emotional and behavioral health concerns.
Kara’s approach emphasizes resilience, self-awareness, and meaningful progress. She works with young adults, adults, and seniors, helping clients develop healthier coping skills, improve emotional well-being, and create positive changes that align with their values and goals.
Outside of her clinical work, Kara enjoys animal rescue and fostering, volunteering in her community, gardening, spending time in nature, attending music concerts, traveling, riding motorcycles, and making memories with family and friends. These passions reflect her belief in connection, purpose, and living a balanced life.
