Areas Of Focus:
Sarah Young is a compassionate and experienced Clinical Social Worker who supports adults and seniors across Oklahoma through life’s complex challenges. At LifeStance Health, she provides individual therapy with a focus on helping clients manage emotional distress, improve daily functioning, and build resilience. Sarah creates a respectful, affirming space where individuals can explore personal struggles and feel empowered to take meaningful steps forward in their mental health journey. Sarah is especially passionate about working with individuals facing midlife and later life transitions, chronic medical conditions, and disability-related challenges. She understands the emotional toll these issues can take on one’s identity, relationships, and sense of purpose. Whether someone is navigating a new diagnosis, coping with pain, or adjusting to major life changes, Sarah offers both clinical expertise and empathetic guidance tailored to each person’s unique situation and needs. Sarah integrates evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. She has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds, including individuals with developmental disabilities, chronic mental illnesses, and those on the autism spectrum. Sarah also provides support to LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and people with a history in the foster care system. Outside of her practice, Sarah enjoys reading, painting, making jewelry, crafting, gardening, and music. These creative passions enrich her therapeutic approach and reflect her belief in the healing power of self-expression.
