Dee Perkins, Dedrick K. Perkins, MSW, LCSW
Areas Of Focus:
Dee Perkins helps adolescents, teens, and adults strengthen emotional stability, navigate life stressors, and move toward lasting mental wellness through compassionate, evidence-based therapy for individuals and families across Oklahoma. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health, Dee provides clinically grounded care that supports patients facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, and complex identity or relationship challenges, with an emphasis on safety, empowerment, and practical coping strategies. Dee is especially passionate about trauma-informed and affirming care for LGBTQ+ individuals and others impacted by chronic stress, marginalization, or crisis experiences. They are deeply committed to supporting gender-diverse patients through gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations and therapy that respects identity, autonomy, and resilience. This work reflects Dee’s belief that effective mental health treatment must address both emotional symptoms and the broader social context shaping a person’s well-being. In practice, Dee treats adolescents and teens as well as adults, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and first responders. Their clinical focus includes anxiety, depression, and PTSD/trauma, while also addressing additional mental health concerns as part of comprehensive care. Dee utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Therapy, and family-based approaches, and provides individual, family, couples, and group therapy, including services within higher levels of care such as IOP and PHP when clinically appropriate. Beyond clinical work, Dee is actively engaged in community advocacy, education, and leadership. They mentor emerging social workers as an adjunct professor and serve in volunteer leadership roles with organizations dedicated to supporting vulnerable youth and advancing equity. Dee also presents on topics related to racial equity, intersectionality, and mental health, bringing these values into both professional practice and community involvement.
