About Evaristus Penda (He/Him)

Evaristus Penda, PC, helps individuals and families across Oklahoma overcome emotional, relational, and psychological challenges by offering compassionate, evidence-informed mental health care. With a focus on building trust and fostering personal growth, he provides therapy for children, teens, adults, and seniors navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship conflict, and life transitions. Through individual, couples, family, group, and intensive outpatient therapy services, Evaristus supports clients in building resilience and achieving long-term emotional well-being. Practicing at LifeStance Health, Evaristus brings over a decade of experience and a holistic, multicultural perspective to his clinical work. He utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based interventions. His practice is inclusive and trauma-informed, with additional specialization in supporting first responders, military veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those with developmental disabilities. He also offers psychological testing and gender-affirmative medical readiness evaluations, tailoring care to each client’s unique identity and goals. Evaristus is especially passionate about helping individuals heal from trauma, strengthen relationships, and break cycles of substance use. His work with couples and families emphasizes open communication, emotional safety, and restoring connection. Whether guiding someone through recovery, navigating post-traumatic growth, or helping partners rebuild trust, he provides a stable, affirming presence and clinically sound strategies to foster transformation. These specialties; trauma, substance use, and relationship issues; are at the core of his professional focus. Outside the therapy room, Evaristus enjoys learning about cultures from around the world, reading, and engaging in community sports like soccer and long-distance running. He finds joy in music, even if only as a solo act, and values staying connected to both people and nature. His lived experience across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the U.S. deeply informs his ability to connect with clients from all walks of life. Evaristus Penda proudly serves clients throughout Oklahoma with inclusive, client-centered mental health care.
