Pat Donahoe is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at LifeStance Health who provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy for adults and seniors throughout Pennsylvania. He works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, PTSD/trauma, and other complex mental health concerns, helping clients develop practical coping skills while building greater emotional resilience and self-understanding. Pat creates a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where clients can openly explore life transitions, relationship challenges, and the impact of stress on their overall well-being. Pat is especially passionate about supporting individuals who have been recently discharged from a psychiatric hospital and are adjusting back into daily life after a mental health crisis or inpatient stay. He understands that this transition can feel overwhelming and isolating, and he focuses on helping clients regain stability, confidence, and a sense of direction. Through collaborative treatment planning and consistent support, he helps clients strengthen emotional regulation, improve communication, and reconnect with meaningful goals and relationships. His therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and couples counseling techniques to meet the unique needs of each individual. Pat has experience supporting clients facing ADHD, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, grief, and later-life or midlife transitions, along with additional mental health concerns. He also works with members of the LGBTQ+ community, military veterans, and first responders, recognizing the importance of culturally aware and personalized care. Pat believes therapy should provide both emotional support and practical tools that clients can use outside of sessions. He emphasizes honest communication, self-awareness, and skill-building to help individuals better manage difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and move toward lasting change. Outside of his clinical work, Pat enjoys music and spends much of his free time playing guitar and writing songs. He is also an avid baseball and hockey fan who enjoys attending games whenever possible. These interests help him maintain balance and bring warmth and authenticity into his work with clients.
