Deb Bergner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Rhode Island who has been practicing since 2023. She holds an MSW from Rhode Island College, an M.Ed. from Springfield College, and a BA from Brown University. With a strong foundation in clinical counseling, casework, and educational program coordination, Deb brings a wealth of experience in providing therapeutic services and case management to diverse populations. Deb specializes in working with adults, using a solution-focused, strengths-based approach to help clients navigate life transitions, stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. Her clinical experience includes her role as a Clinical Counseling Trainee at the Counseling Center of the University of Rhode Island, where she conducted intakes, utilized various assessment tools to establish treatment goals, and provided short-term, solution-focused therapy to undergraduate and graduate students.

She integrates evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Exposure Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness interventions to support clients in achieving meaningful and lasting change. With an emphasis on practical strategies and goal-oriented interventions, Deb empowers clients to identify their strengths, build resilience, and take actionable steps toward their well-being.
