About Debra Jean-Laurent (She/Her)
Debra Jean-Laurent earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Rhode Island and her Master’s degree in Agency Counseling with a Concentration in Chemical Dependency from Rhode Island College. She has been working in the field of mental health for over 30 years in a variety of behavioral health settings and has experience working with adults, teens and families who are struggling with a variety of mental health and substance abuse concerns. I am passionate about self-discovery, exploration and healing. I have come to learn that a tremendous amount of people feel alone, disconnected, anxious and fearful. In the therapeutic relationship Debra helps her clients to see that they all have value. Debra works with individuals who are looking to gain insight into themselves and improve their quality of life. Debra believes that every client is a unique individual with the power to change.
