Melinda Perry, DSW, LICSW,
About Melinda Perry (She/Her)
Melinda Perry helps children, adolescents, teens, adults, and older adults navigate life’s challenges with compassion, insight, and practical strategies for growth. Serving patients throughout Rhode Island through LifeStance Health, she creates a supportive and collaborative therapeutic environment where individuals, couples, and families can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Melinda works with concerns such as anxiety, depression, and childhood behavior issues, while also helping patients build resilience, strengthen relationships, and develop healthier ways of coping with stress and change. A significant focus of Melinda’s practice is supporting individuals and families through life transitions and relational challenges. She is especially passionate about helping patients experiencing women’s issues, reproductive challenges, and post-partum depression and anxiety. Melinda understands that these experiences can affect emotional well-being, identity, relationships, and daily functioning. She provides thoughtful, individualized care that helps patients navigate these complex seasons with greater confidence, stability, and self-compassion. Melinda’s approach is grounded in evidence-based care and tailored to each person’s unique needs and goals. She incorporates interventions such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), couples and marital counseling, and family therapy. In addition to her work with anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns, she offers support for a range of mental health and life challenges, including additional areas of focus. Whether working with a child struggling in school, a teen facing emotional difficulties, or adults working through relationship concerns, she emphasizes practical solutions and meaningful progress. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor and experienced therapist, Melinda brings extensive training and a deep commitment to helping people achieve lasting emotional wellness. She earned degrees from Grambling State University, Capella University, and Our Lady of the Lake University, equipping her with a strong clinical foundation and a broad perspective on mental health care. Outside of her professional work, Melinda enjoys running and reading. These interests help her maintain balance and reinforce her belief in the importance of lifelong learning, personal growth, and overall well-being. Through LifeStance Health, Melinda proudly serves patients across Rhode Island, providing mental health therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. She welcomes individuals seeking support for anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other behavioral health needs.
