After being "fired" by a quack who never did anything to help me, I was apprehensive about seeing Dr. Smith. She diagnosed me visually as having a form of RA that doesn't show on blood tests by looking at my toes in my sandals. She also referred me to PT for lymphedema therapy. And, after I asked if psoriasis of the scalp could be related to PsA, she took me seriously and the medication allows me to live largely free of symptoms, except the osteo (for which she referred me to an OT for hand braces to treat symptoms of cartilage damage). I can't recommend her highly enough! Her office staff are 'dinged' for screening patients, and I feel this is undeserved. They are using the criteria given to them in order to avoid wasting the time of both the patient and the doctor. To me, at least, they have been unfailingly polite and attentive. Yes, it's hard to get them on the phone ... but they spend a lot of time fighting with insurance for patient care. Thsnk you, ladies!

Dr. Smith is a wonderful doctor, all around. She has diagnosed my problem and successfully treated me where I have tried every doctor in town and no sure diagnosis could be made. I will and have highly recommended Dr. Smith to alot of people. The only thing that is frustrating is I have been calling their phone number for a few days and it's telling me the phone has been disconnected and I need the dr s. Authorization at the pharmacy to refill my methotrexate injection. I hope she is still in bu

Dr. Smith has been my rheumatologist for 8 yrs. She is an awesome Dr. but over time staff members were replaced with new staff members and the quality of that office is poorly run. In July 2016 the receptionist mentioned to me that my insurance wasn't paying and that I couldn't go back until all the claims were paid off so for 8 months I haven't been able to see her, last week I finally had an appt. and was turned down rudely because the referral expired in Feb. I no longer see Dr Smith.

She is an amazing doctor before I got to her I had literally lost all hope in having any help or any sense of a normal life before I met her. She is such a caring and energetic she made me see how I could turn this life of illness into something that inspires me to make the most out of everyday. Even helped me realize I could use my own illness to help me realize what I want to study and do with my life. I can not thank god enough for giving me the opportunity to have her as my doctor.

I love Dr. Smith! As a healthcare provider myself I know a good physician when I talk with them. She diagnosed my problem after months of uncertainty and a week long hospitalization. Once I began her treatment regiment I began to improve within 2 months. I have had to change medications a few times and she was always quick to address my concerns. I wish her staff was better. Her MA is pretty friendly but the receptionist/office manager is a rude and hateful. But, she is worth it.

Dr Smith’s team was incredibly compassionate and helpful! Dr Smith is an absolute gem! She was well prepared, obviously aware of all the previous notes and tests. She was incredibly engaging and validating, understanding the mental/emotional concerns and spent time educating about benefits from changing diet. The holistic approach was a game changer for us! We received more hope in 1 appt, than we’ve experienced after 2 months of counseling.
